Four years. Four whole years. Zendaya has won two more Emmys, Jacob Elordi got an Oscar nom, Sydney Sweeney broke the box office, and Angus Cloud — our Fezco — is gone. Season 3 drops April 12th. Are we ready?
Let’s be real for a second. When Euphoria Season 2 ended in February 2022, none of us knew we were signing up for a four-year wait. That’s not a hiatus. That’s a whole US presidential term. That’s enough time to go to college, graduate, have a quarter-life crisis, and then rewatch all of Euphoria again during said crisis.

And yet here we are. April 12th, 2026. The gang is back. They’re out of high school, into their mid-twenties, and somehow — somehow — in even more trouble than before. Rue is drug muling in Mexico. Cassie married Nate. Nate is smirking at the altar while Cassie looks like she’s already regretting every decision she’s ever made. It’s giving “I should have listened to literally anyone.”
Before we get into the drama (there is so much drama), let’s cover the basics.

WATCH THE TRAILER
So Where Is Everyone Now?
Five years have passed since East Highland. Here’s where we pick everyone up:
Rue (Zendaya): In Mexico, in serious debt to drug dealer Laurie, and apparently now a drug mule getting interrogated by DEA agents. “For the first time, I was beginning to have faith,” she narrates in the trailer. Sure, Rue. Sure.
Cassie (Sydney Sweeney): Married Nate, started an OnlyFans-esque career, somehow reconnected with Maddy. Living her best? worst? most chaotic life.
Nate (Jacob Elordi): Runs his father Cal’s construction business. Married to Cassie. Already looking like a red flag wrapped in a suit at the altar. Jacob Elordi himself described this season as “a completely different thing.” Coming from the man who got an Oscar nomination in the four-year gap, we’re intrigued.
Jules (Hunter Schafer): Art school. Nervous about her painting career. Avoiding responsibility at all costs. Relatable, honestly.
Maddy (Alexa Demie): Working at a Hollywood talent agency, has her own side hustles, and is now… helping Cassie film cam girl content? The friendship pipeline is wild.
Lexi (Maude Apatow): Assisting a showrunner played by Sharon Stone. Which means Sharon Stone is in this season and we are not okay about it.
The E Cast — Who’s In, Who’s Out
Most of your favourites are back. Here’s the full confirmed returning cast:
Returning: Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Colman Domingo, Eric Dane, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Dominic Fike, Nika King, Alanna Ubach, Daeg Faerch, Melvin Bonez Estes, Paula Marshall, Sophia Rose Wilson, Zak Steiner, Dominic Fike
New faces (and what a cast): Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Trisha Paytas, Marshawn Lynch (yes, Beast Mode himself), Eli Roth, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Asante Blackk, Kadeem Hardison, and more
Not returning: Barbie Ferreira (Kat), Storm Reid (Gia), Austin Abrams (Ethan), Angus Cloud (Fezco)
“Angus Cloud, our Fezco, passed away in July 2023. His absence will be felt.”

Angus Cloud died in July 2023, aged 25, from an accidental overdose. Fezco was one of the most beloved characters in the show — the kind of warm, grounded presence that Euphoria desperately needed — and his absence is going to be a quiet ache through all eight episodes. Eric Dane, who played Cal Jacobs, also passed away in February 2026 after a short battle with ALS. His final performance is in this season. According to Sam Levinson, when he told Eric there was “no pressure” to come back and film, Eric responded: “I want to do this.” They had, Levinson says, “a blast.” We are going to cry.
That Trailer Though
Let’s talk about it, because the second trailer broke records before the season even aired. It hit 157 million views in 48 hours — the most-watched returning original trailer in HBO history. The first trailer had set a record with 100M views in two days. The second one beat it by 57%.
And honestly? The trailer slaps. Rue getting interrogated by DEA agents. Cassie walking down the aisle looking like she’s heading to her own funeral. A mysterious new villain in a plastic raincoat holding a bloody electric carving knife over a duct-taped man. Rosalía in a bejewelled neck brace. Colman Domingo as Ali, delivering the line: “You poison kids for money… you’re evil.” It’s giving Breaking Bad meets Narcos with a Euphoria neon filter on top, and the internet collectively lost its mind.
Sam Levinson told the Hollywood Reporter this will be “our best season yet.“ We’re choosing to believe him until proven otherwise.
