The Spider-Man: Brand New Day Trailer Just Dropped
Today is the day. The brand new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day officially landed on June 17, 2026, dropping live from Amsterdam where Tom Holland and Zendaya have been continuing the press tour that kicked off in Madrid two days ago. What Is Actually in the Trailer?
The trailer picks up where No Way Home left off. Peter Parker lives in a world where nobody knows who he is. MJ is with someone else. Ned is still around. And Peter is dealing with something far worse than just a broken heart. His powers are changing in ways he cannot control, and a new invisible threat is targeting the city and everyone he loves.
The biggest moment in the trailer is exactly what the leaks promised. We get our first proper look at Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk back in full rage mode. Not Professor Hulk. Not Smart Hulk. The Grey Hulk, apparently triggered by a mind-controlling villain, going head to head with Spider-Man.

Holland confirmed in a Fandango interview today that Hulk’s actual role in the film is “definitely a secret,” and that the Spidey and Punisher dynamic is like a “bickering big brother-little brother” relationship. Jon Bernthal’s Punisher looks like he has a significantly bigger role than the marketing initially suggested.
Sadie Sink also appears in new footage that is making the Jean Grey theory feel more and more confirmed, even though nobody on the cast or crew will say a word about it. Sink herself said at the Fandango event: “I didn’t realize there’d be so much speculation.” Which is not a denial.
Sony has also revealed that Brand New Day will be presented in two native aspect ratios for the first time in Spider-Man history, filling the screen more completely depending on what kind of auditorium you are watching in.
Early box office tracking is projecting around $1.5 billion for the film’s total run, and fan response to the trailer has already been overwhelmingly positive since it landed this morning.
Holland also told interviewers today that if he eventually steps away from Spider-Man, he would want to mentor his successor the way Robert Downey Jr. mentored him, and named Owen Cooper as the actor he would choose to take over the role. Full circle and genuinely very sweet.
